What's the difference between the SuperSix EVO and the Synapse?
The SuperSix EVO is a race bike — built for speed, sharp handling, and low weight. The Synapse is an endurance bike — built for all-day comfort, stability, and long miles. In practical terms: the SuperSix puts you in a lower, more aggressive position; the Synapse sits you more upright with a taller front end and shorter reach. If you race or do fast group rides, the SuperSix is your bike. If you want to ride 150km and still feel fresh, the Synapse is the better choice.
How much does a custom SuperSix EVO build cost?
A SuperSix EVO frameset starts from approximately $4,999. The total build cost depends entirely on your component choices. A 105 Di2 build typically lands around $6,000–8,000, while an Ultegra Di2 build with carbon wheels runs $9,000–13,000. We’ll quote your exact build before we order a single part — no surprises.
What groupsets can I put on a SuperSix EVO?
Anything in the current road groupset range. Most customers choose Shimano 105 Di2 or Ultegra Di2 (best value-to-performance ratio), but we also build with Dura-Ace, SRAM Force, and SRAM Red. The frame is electronic-only — no mechanical cable routing — so any build needs a wireless or semi-wireless groupset.
Does a professional bike fitting come with purchase?
Yes. Every Cannondale purchase includes a fitting session covering saddle height, reach, stack, handlebar position, and cleat alignment.
How long does a custom build take?
Typically 2–3 weeks from deposit to delivery, depending on component availability. We don’t rush builds — every bike gets properly assembled, torqued, and tested before you see it. If you need something faster, the Synapse Carbon 4 is ready to ride (with a fit).
Do you service Cannondale bikes you didn't sell?
Absolutely. We service all Cannondale road bikes regardless of where they were purchased. Our mechanics know these bikes inside out — HollowGram cranks, SystemBar cockpits, Ai rear ends, the lot. If you bought your Cannondale elsewhere and the service experience wasn’t great, bring it to us.
Is buying from an authorised dealer worth it vs online?
Yes — and here’s why. An authorised dealer purchase includes full Australian warranty support (grey import stock often doesn’t), professional assembly by qualified mechanics (not a warehouse), a bike fit included with your purchase, and ongoing support from a shop that knows your bike. If something goes wrong, you walk into our shop — you don’t email a warehouse in another state.
What size Cannondale do I need?
We’ll size you properly in-store — it’s part of every purchase. Cannondale’s sizing runs from 44cm to 61cm across both models, and the Synapse uses Proportional Response geometry (each size gets a unique carbon layup and tube profile, not just a scaled version of the medium). Come in for a proper fit assessment — it takes 10 minutes and makes sure you’re on the right size before any money changes hands.
Does the Synapse Carbon come in other colours or builds?
The Synapse Carbon 4 in store is the Metallic Red / Chalk colourway, but we can order any current-model Synapse build or colour. If there’s a specific variant you’ve seen online, let us know and we’ll check availability and lead time with Cannondale Australia.
Is the SuperSix EVO too aggressive for a non-racer?
Not necessarily — but it depends on your flexibility and riding style. The SuperSix’s race geometry is certainly more aggressive than the Synapse, but a proper bike fit can make it work for plenty of riders who don’t race. Come in and sit on both — the difference is immediately obvious, and we’ll give you an honest recommendation based on what feels right, not what costs more.
