Professional Bicycle Service in Sydney

Your bike deserves expert care. At Brad’s Bikes, our bicycle service workshop in Neutral Bay has kept Sydney road cyclists rolling for over 40 years. Whether you need a basic tune-up, a full overhaul, or something in between, every bicycle service is performed by qualified mechanics who ride — and understand — road bikes.

We service all road bike brands, from Shimano to SRAM to Campagnolo. No e-bikes, no mountain bikes — just road bikes, done right.

our service process

When you book a service or repair with us, we conduct a quick initial assessment and provide you with a quote based on your bike’s condition & required repairs.

At the time of servicing, we do a detailed assessment and call you if any additional work is needed, and it will only be done with your approval.

At the time of bike pick-up, the bike mechanic who worked on your bike will take you through the service, provide any further tips or things to look out for in the future.

See just below the service details guidelines & indicative pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I get a mechanic to service my bike?

Road bikes and all other bikes require regular servicing. Newer bikes require specialised tools, which are expensive to purchase. Different brands require different tools. Whether you’re working on replacement parts for wheels, chain repairs, headsets, bolts or replacing your brake pads, finding the right tool or parts from the store is becoming increasingly difficult.

what does a typical bike repair cost?

The cost of proper bike maintenance can vary. Any bike repairs that require parts that cannot be saved have to be replaced with new parts, which we need to source at an additional cost to the service.

Typically, he costs depend on the labour and any parts that are required. We recommend getting the best result is booking a full Bike Service. This bicycle servicing option gets a detailed service, with components removed for inspection and cleaning

should I do my own repairs?

Sure, you can give it a go if you know your way around bikes and have confidence that the job will be completed safely. DIY bike maintenance and bicycle repair can be costly, as you may need to buy expensive tools and need to know the right bike parts to source.

Having the right tools, part knowledge, experience, and know-how is important to good bike safety and maintenance. If you are not sure, it is always best to book in with your local bike shop.

What does a complete bike service include?

If you ride your bike often, the smallest noises and creaks can become annoying as the parts wear over time and with use. We recommend having your bike serviced every 6-12 months. This will save you money over the long run, as you will be able to avoid replacing costly parts.

We offer a bike service that inspects everything, such as bottom bracket creaks, replacement bolts, wheels, wheel bearings, gears, headset, cables, hubs, seat and frame — generally, all components come off the bike and are serviced.
