Wilier Filante SLR ID2

The Wilier Filante SLR ID2 is the latest evolution of Wilier’s WorldTour-level aero race bike, developed alongside the Groupama-FDJ professional cycling team. Designed to be lighter, faster, and more efficient than ever before, the ID2 blends cutting-edge aerodynamics with the ride quality and responsiveness riders expect from a premium Italian superbike.

Wind tunnel testing at Silverstone revealed a massive 13.6% reduction in aerodynamic drag compared to the previous Filante SLR, delivering real-world performance gains where it matters most. At 40km/h, riders can save over 14 watts, while maintaining the same power output over a 70km ride can result in a time saving of up to 1 minute and 45 seconds. Against other leading WorldTour race bikes, the Filante SLR ID2 also recorded an aerodynamic advantage of 2.42%.

A key feature is Wilier’s integrated Aerokit hydration system, developed with Elite Cycling to minimise turbulence around the frame and improve airflow. Combined with refined tube shaping, a redesigned cockpit, and increased tyre clearance up to 34mm, the result is a bike that feels incredibly fast while remaining stable and comfortable on long rides. The Filante SLR ID2 is built for riders chasing uncompromising speed at the highest level.
